The launch of the Old Vine Registry last week couldn’t have been better timed.
Last Wednesday, I travelled to London with Rosa Kruger of the Old Vine Project to help host a South African Benchmark Tasting at South Africa House in Trafalgar Square on behalf of Museum Wines.
We were joined by Greg Sherwood MW, Wines of South Africa UK, and winemakers Kiara Scott of Brookdale Estate, Ian Naudé of Naudé Wines, Sakkie Mouton of Sakkie Mouton Family Wines, Christiaan Coetzee of Uva Mira Mountain Vineyards, Gary Jordan of Jordan Wine Estate, Annamarie Fourie of Holden Manz, and a surprise visit by Bruwer Raats of Raats Family Wines (his son Daneel was already there as proxy).
Museum Wines is a UK importer of South African wines and three consecutive-time winners of Decanter’s South Africa Retailer of the Year award.
